5.1.1 silicon plates have a diffration peak at 96°2theta for CuKalpha 5.1.0 silicon plates have no diffraction peaks. 5.1.1 plates are 0.5mm thick, 5.1.0 plates are 1.0, 1.5, or 2.0mm thick

Note:

• Our 511 silicon supply has become exhausted. We regretfully can not continue to manufacture these slides.
• Consistent repositioning of surfaces of unmounted plates in the diffractometer is not assured. If the plates are mounted permanently in the specimen holder, the repositioning is usually more consistent. The Gem Dugout does not stock specimen holders for the different diffractometers because there are too many styles even for one manufacturer. It will be necessary for the requestor to supply the specimen holder with the order for mounted plates. The supplied specimen holders must be in good condition with flat, planar surfaces. Bent or corroded holders will be returned without mounted plates.
